I’m working on my first novel, a work of speculative Christian fiction. I’m currently working through John Truby’s The Anatomy of Story.

I’m based in Waxahachie, Texas, just south of Dallas. Right now, I’m focused on building daily habits of journaling, reading fiction, and writing.
Listening
I’ve been listening to Ledger. A recent interview helped me understand why her songs resonate with me: her determination not to let anxiety hold her down.
Mindset
I don’t know where this path will lead yet. The struggle to begin writing is real. I’m a little convinced that you have to be a little bit insane to want to write a novel—and yet, here I am.
